This portfolio is part of the "D1X Experience Report"

If you think that the D1 NEF files produced a lot of data then wait for the D1x (the Kodak 760 needs 75% of space). So what happens? You come back photographing 120 NEFs and that is not a lot for one day! There is no time for carefully crafting all these photos in Capture, Bibble or Qimage.

What to do? Recently I converted the NEFs with Qimage 2001 into smaller JPGs to have preview samples. But this means you have to wait quite some time for the results (don't forget to burn your CDs which only fit about 80 D1x NEFs now).

Today I made the great discovery that the slide show in Qimage 2001 in "draft" mode lets you browse pretty fast through your photos and also gives you enough information to select your winner photos. This alone would be worth more than you pay for Qimage for any D1/D1x owner.

What is the relation to this pelican photo? It was nearly lost in the all our Giga Bytes. Would be a shame!

Conclusion: No more lost photos in the Giga Byte jungle!
