Manage the Digital Workflow

Lightroom has become over the last two years a major application for Photographers. With Lightroom's plugin architecture there are now many very useful export plugins and other tools. We report about those that we find most interesting.

5/10/2009 Jeffrey’s “Folder Watch” Lightroom Plugin

We wanted to be able to auto import images that we add during our work. Many people may like to use this plugin for tethered shooting. We have a very strict separation between our RAW images and the resulting processed TIFF files. Yet they are both in the same Lightroom Catalog (you can have only one Lightroom Catalog open at any time).

This new plugin allows us to save the processed TIFF images in our standard TIFF folder tree and this plugin will find the new TIFF files and add the to our catalog. In the past we always needed to launch a tedious "Synchronize Folder.." process. Very nice work by Jeffrey. More info can be found here.
