Over the next few weeks we plan to use the Canon 5D Mark II and the Nikon D3x (diary starts soon) as our main cameras. Unfortunately Sony does not support us with a A900 camera (maybe a reader and owner of an A900 in the Bay Area could help us out).

We will cover the "black dot" issue soon in our 5D Mark II diary. In short:

• Problem clearly exists
• Effects images with strong specular highlights (e.g. night shots, strong reflections)
• Seen at large magnifications
• Can be reduced with Photoshop actions that are posted on the net
