Our E-Book: The Art of Digital Fine Art printing
"....I am very impressed with the book you are about to read. It’s information like this that has helped to raise the quality of digital output and reduce the traditional art world’s resistance to the use of digital tools in art. It is a book written by someone who KNOWS fine art digital printmaking. Uwe’s style is concise and to the point. This comprehensive and complete guide to fine art digital printmaking should be included in the library of anyone who is serious about making fine art digital prints...."

10/2/2006 Hasselblad H3D Concerns (source Luminous Landscape)

We post this article because we find it as strange as Michael Reichmann how Hasselblad tries to lock in customers. In the past such strategies fortunately failed often enough and we hope Hasselblad will return to open systems in the future. Third party back manufacturers seem now to endorse a new medium format system that is created be Rollei but also branded as Leaf and Sinar. Maybe Hasselblad helped to form their own competition.

9/19/2006 "Of Cameras and Art" by Alain Briot (source Luminous Landscape)

This is the kind of discussions we plan to have with our students at our "Vision Trilogy" seminars. The tricky part is that Photography is based on art and technique. If you just concentrate on one end the other suffers. It is better to err on the artistic side as this always will define the need for a proper technique.

9/16/2006 LightZone RAW Contest #2 September 2006

We think that the LightZone Contest #1 contained a lot of interesting image interpretations. We are sure this one will be even more interesting.
