Galbraith's "CompactFlash Performance Database"
With CF cards having more storage, prices dropping permanently
and cameras like the 1Ds Mk. II creating huge files (13MB - 26MB
for one RAW) it is wise the select fast cards with lots of storage.
For now
over 4 years we relied on Microdrives but are now gradually switching
to CF cards (2 or 4 GB).

While working with the Canon 1Ds Mk. II we found out that the
PTLens profiles for the 24-70mm lens did not seem to be correct.
Thomas Niemann now provides updated and corrected profiles.

1Ds Mk. II: Some more Tests
We completed our normal Los Gatos test photos.

This is probably
a first on the web: We provide raw files that were converted
to DNG. This way you can open Canon 1Ds Mk. II DNG raw files
in Adobe Camera Raw 2.3. Right now ACR 2.3 is the only raw converter
that can open DNG files.

We are back now and will spend the next day to check through
